TV3 Group

TV3 Group consists of TV3, 3e, 3player and TV3 is Ireland's first commercial broadcaster and was launched in September 1998. Since then TV3 has grown from a single commercial station to a multi-platform group, which now broadcasts over 2,100 hours of live TV annually, with nearly 40% of its entire schedule consisting of home grown Irish content. In August 2008, TV3 purchased Ireland's first commercial cable channel, Channel 6 and in January 2009 rebranded it to 3e. 3e has since grown to become the largest digital channel in the marketplace. In October 2008, TV3 launched its online site and this was closely followed by the launch of 3player, Ireland's leading entertainment site.


3e is the largest digital channel in the Irish marketplace and boasts the best mix of Irish and internationally acquired programming. With home produced programmes like fyi, Uploaded and RAM'D as well as a host of fantastic animated series including Family Guy, Bobs Burgers and American Dad, 3e is sure to reach your 15-35 year old target demographic. Viewership with 3e is increasing month on month with average daily reach this year at 605,500 Individuals and an average weekly reach of 1,922,000 Individuals.


3player is the award winning online catch-up service from TV3. 3player allows viewers to catch up on all their favorite TV3 shows anytime, anywhere. Launched in October 2011, 3player continues to grow it's user base and now averages 1m video streams a month across top shows such as Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Britain's Got Talent and Tonight with Vincent Browne. TV3 Sony HD Studio

The new purpose-built studio is Ireland's largest television studio and the one of the most technologically-advanced broadcast facilities in Europe. In a unique naming/technology collaboration TV3 has partnered with Sony the world's leading supplier of all broadcast technology.

The new HD infrastructure cost €5m and was funded by a direct capital contribution from TV3's investors Doughty Hanson. In addition a multi-million euro technology and naming rights deal was agreed between TV3 and Sony. The studio is the final link in TV3's HD infrastructure following investment in HD transmission and post-production facilities

At 500 square metres the studio is the largest purpose-built television studio in Ireland and incorporated learnings from the latest studio designs for the BBC and SKY in the UK. The Sony HD equipment is the most advanced available on the market. The studio can accommodate an audience of 250.

TV3 Digital Advertising Opportunities
